2021 Bright Idea Award Winner
Jill Ford, Syracuse Area Health
The Nebraska Healthcare Marketers Bright Idea Award for 2021 was presented to Jill Ford and the team at Syracuse Area Health for the Comfort Menu project.
From Jill "we were looking at ways to expand nonpharmacological pain and comfort interventions, and started to put together ideas for helping patients with these types of offerings. Our staff understands that receiving treatment for an illness, recovering from surgery, or waiting for a diagnosis can all lead to anxiety, stress, or pain – and want to do all they can to minimize those discomforts. Comfort items are placed on a cart that can be rolled into a patient’s room."
